So I was thinking it would be super awesome if there would be a news reporter job, that had unprecedented access to all sites, as long as they were escorted by other officers. Imagine this: there is a standoff at casino, and the cops aren't breaching coz they have a hostage, and the hostage takers aren't being released. A news van parks outside the police tape, and interviews civilians and even cops. Also, they could ride along with Police, EMS and FD for a live PD/ live rescue kind of deal. They could also have press conferences with the mayor. I'm sure a lot of you are thinking, why do you need a separate job for that? This is because the news reporter has certain privileges that normal civilians don't have
1) They have to be player level 20 (To stop new players from VDMing with their news van
2) They have immunity from both the police and criminals (criminals cannot kill them for being associated with cops, likewise cops can't interrogate them for talking to criminals)
3) They have access to prisons, police stations, mayoral offices as long as they are escorted by other officers or USSS.
4) They are bound by confidentiality, if they interview people and they tell them about certain crimes they have committed, the reporters cannot tell the police (similar to VICE documentaries)
5) They cannot equip a weapon, and it is failrp of them to commit a crime
6) They have access to a news van, and there skin will be changed to indicate that they are a reporter.
The reasons for this are pretty simple - to give the media team some good footage to work with. I know that @MUDJUG creates daily news articles about life in monoford, so I was thinking that there could be a section of the forums where people post their footage, e.g. interviewing people during a police raid, and the media team merge them all together to create daily news videos or an article
Let me know in the comments what you think of these
