Hello there! I know this may be long-awaited (or nobody really cared) but, here it is.
Some of you may or may not know me, but I'm "A Sack O' Salt", Salt, David, Sack O' Shit, whatever else @gm1003 has came up with. I was apart of this community for a long bit and I kinda just dropped off the edge of the map towards the end of 2019, so I'm here to explain (for those who care, or for those who might just be wondering.)
So, on November 19th, I was driving home from work, and it was pouring. It was like the bad kinda rain that just floods the roads. I was going around 40-43/44MPH when I just hydroplaned and the back end of the car (RWD) spun and caused me to "spin out"... At first, I was headed straight into a tree, but I swerved the other way of course, but I overcompensated the spin and of course, went spinning the other way, flipped into the side of the ditch, rolled at least 3-4 times, I don't really remember.
In case anyone's interested in the experience of being in a really bad accident; it didn't hurt. It kinda felt like a roller coaster, being wrapped up in the airbags that deployed surprisingly early, after the rolling, I was upside down. I went for my seatbelt and it, of course, wouldn't unbuckle. At the time I was driving my mom's car because my 2010 Camaro's engine had seized so I was out a car and had to get to school/work somehow... Anyways, her car was pretty modern, key FOB, push to start (PTS), the whole 9 yards. With the PTS cars, the key FOB has a button to slide the actual cut key out in case your car doesn't detect the FOB, or the battery dies, you can still drive it. So I took that out and tried for about 30 seconds to cut the seatbelt, I did. After, I went searching for my phone for 2-3 minutes - then went to open the door, didn't open. I went to the passenger door, it opened about 6 inches, so I started kicking it, but it wouldn't budge because of the brush and branches. I crawled towards the back door when it swung open and some guy that lived across the street was freaking out more than I was. I'm very lucky to be alive, and I'm sure the pictures can show. The Police arrived, I denied medical transportation to the hospital because that's expensive, and my life wasn't really at risk. I had gotten whiplash, a moderate concussion, and a fractured rib. So, I was in the hospital overnight for one night just to make sure there was nothing internally wrong I guess. After the hospital, I didn't go to school for around a week or two and laid in my bed feigning on a cart. So basically, I returned to school, had a ton of stuff to do. Side note: I live 40 minutes away from my school(friends, work, etc.) now because we moved early on in the year and I'm not transferring senior year. Anyways, between doctor's appointments, X-Ray appointments, and a bunch of other BS - I was never home, and never had time to get on. After the accident, Monolith I guess was pushed to the back of my head. I'm hoping to return sometime in the summer, or the start of August or sometime around then. I've rejoined the Media Team since I'm starting to have a little free time and I hope to see everyone around... Eventually.
TL;DR: Got in a bad car accident late November. I moved far (40-minute drive) from school, so I'm never home. Sports, work, doctor, etc.
stop calling me sack please. - and yes, I know the pictures in my signature are broken, blame PMX.
