Hello everybody,

We at Monolith are a dedicated team to bring you the best role-playing experience on our server that is possible. Your feedback is extremely important to us - and believe me: we are listening to you. Monolith RP has literally gone through the roof - which we have definitely not expected when we relaunched. Thank you all for this experience.

Our aim with Monolith was to create a unique Garry's Mod role-playing gaming community, open and available for everybody out there. During the last few days the majority of you have talked about a huge game-changer for Monolith: a server whitelist for Monolith RP.

What we have gathered from your feedback you have provided for the last couple of days: A lot of you want Monolith RP, and therefore possibly further RP-servers, whitelisted. Now, we do understand your reasoning behind this - and we do not think that you are in the wrong - but at this time we think we should not go this route.

Monolith RP is a unique gamemode that we want to make available for everybody in the Garry's Mod community. Whitelisting our server(s) will split our built community in half and possibly mark our end. Since we have literally just relaunched we are chasing a few other goals at this time: We want to make our main server stable, fix existing bugs, change up a lot of things and add additional features to expand our gamemode before we go ahead and create further servers for you.
We do not rule out the chance or temporarily testing a secondary, whitelisted, server in the future. We are just a bit skeptical about a full whitelisted server.

Please give us some time to do all of this first. We are also in the process of creating a semi-whitelist for our police force. This is our first step to sort out some rule-breakers and minges and should give some respect back to the law enforcement on our server. We might expand this whitelist over to other existing jobs such as the medical department and the fire department.
Please note that we are talking about a semi-whitelist, meaning that at least one rank will still be accessible as a non-whitelisted player to try it out.

We are continuously hiring additional staff to provide you with the in game assistance you need and keep the rule-breakers away from the community. In our latest meeting we have made clear that we need to enforce our rules much stricter to keep away any unwanted players to increase your role-playing experience, and we will do so from now on.

So, once again, we ask for your patience. We want to see how our plans work out for the future. There is still a lot ahead of us and we hope you continue to be with us during this time.

Honestly, for how big the server is and how many people visit it, its a pretty structured and well functioning server. If a whitelisted server would be made, cool. I dont really think theres a huge purpose to doing it, but either route taken I wouldnt see any harm in something like this. I think an open server is going to be much better than a whitelisted in Monolith's case. Some may agree, others not.

If you took your time to read the post, you would have learned that they are not placing a white list onto it despite the massive amount of requests for it.
Also try to use proper English to describe your points and queries, looks bad.

I too agree that there should be a whitelist system in play, although I am happy to accept their decision to maintain its current all-access system that they have at the moment.
I understand their reasons, although if the server is going to resume its open access then some major changes need to be made to improve the experience of the gameplay, Such as whitelisting police (which I believe is in the works) and greater enforcement of rules, with player reports filed on the forums with video in addition to harsher bans.
At the moment it is far too easy to break every and any rule you want and get away with it or receive a useless 2 hour ban.
I believe that bans should be a minimum of 3 days with a warning point system, even allowing these points to be viewed in game by a player allowing them to see what they have done to earn them.

Anyways point is, its their server, They put in the hard work, and they make the decisions.
We should all support them in their decisions.

i only think it sould be whitlisted and for people who minge and break rules ruin the rp experince for everyone to fix this i think u should just ban them for a while like a weak or evan a perma

The server is down due to attacks from some nasty people.
It is not the staff teams fault, and they are working tirelessly to resolve the issue.

Whitelisiting will limit your fan base. Garry's mod is a game for all ages to play so if you are going to white list the server make a low age (if one) requirement and avoid interviews. Interviews like the one for Santos RP make people uncomfortable and make less people want to play.

If there was the implantation of a full out Whitelisted system, there would be direct competition with the Re-Launch of SantosRP over not only community development, but gamemode development as well.
But as it stands now It seems it's one of the best un-whitelisted gamemodes there is, a semi-whitelist is perfect in my eyes.
I am excited to see the development of both of these communities, and how they compare/compete with eachother.

I'm not sure it's a great idea to personally state my opinion on which sever's game system functions better, to try to prevent backlash from patriotic fans of this community.

Completely understand where you are coming from and I agree the statements you made were correct.
But what everyone needs to understand is that the management team have made their minds up and they will not be looking for people trying to change their minds. But if we all just focus on the ideas we have that will improve a non-whitelisted server, we can make an effective change and support their decisions rather than challenging them with every move they make.

It's one of the major problems with many large communities that are now dead, The Managment/Devs and the Players oppose each other and create friction and negativity. It puts a sour taste in everyone's mouth and is worth avoiding.
