Your Steam Name: floyd
Your SteamID: 76561198121013222
Your Character Name: John Frank

Target Steam Name:TwewT

Target Character Name (if known): Cobey Castalone

Request Reason: NLR, FAIL RP, Corrupt without Permission, Job Abuse

So me and @Hazer chase and stop a Black FnF. The suspect is killed in the shootout and we take the other suspect to PD. The guy who died in the shootout joins the PD (please check the logs) and takes his friend from me and puts her in (for a small amount of time I assume). This ruined RP as she was going to have her pistol taken and be put in jail for shooting an officer. The LT was clearly corrupt since he was dealing with his friend. The LT then quit and joined paramedic right after the video ends (check logs).
Your evidence to support your claim:

This is the evidence that shows the shootout and why the suspect was arrested

Additional members involved/witnessing: @Hazer
Read, understood and followed player report rules?: Yes

R, FAIL RP, Corrupt without Permission, Job Abuse
I Decided to be a LT after the chase because I saw the chief option was open, however the whitelist hadn't gone into effect yet as i did the PD training earlier that day. I had Amnesia from previous events, and i listened on the radio what had happend prior and arrested her based on that. I wanted the other officer to go back out and patrol and i would take care of it because there were multiple other calls after that, and i wanted them to get moved on. I had failed to get my gun/vehicle at this point, so i had no idea on the state of budget.

As you can clearly see in the video, the officer bringing her in was a Sargent and i was an LT. The Ass Chief was dealing with another arrest as you could clearly see in that video. I will admit that the ass chief never gave me instructions on taking the gun away after arrest, however you can clearly see in the first video that she had a gun license so they had no right to take her gun away in the first place. I heard on radio to book them for Assault on a LEO. There seems to be a breakdown of communication, no doubt.

After the arrest, i proceed to go get loaded up and lo and behold, low budget. I wasn't going to waste my time waiting for budget, So i became a medic to quit the job. I however didn't do it to job abuse, as i quit at the L1 hospital and teleported to the L1 location. I know for a fact that it's job abuse if you use it to teleport, which i didn't do. So be that what you take. I didn't think it was job abuse if i remained at the same location, but that's just me.

What i did here was clearly trying to free up current resources to gain patrol to the city for those that already have cars/loadout, which i do often when i first join the job before loading out. I can understand how this can be interpreted as failrp, however i don't believe it was in my best conscious. I also don't believe it was corruption because 1. There were no known trials going on by the mayor and 2. I was higher up than the sarg, so i believed i had final say over the situation. Chief told us to book them, and never said anything about taking away guns. I was simply trying to free up resources.

So you heard "Book for assault on an LEO", yet did not feel taking the gun was important? A gun license does not let you retain a gun used to commit a crime.

None of this explains why you sentenced them for 1 year (1 minute).

I didn't even realize that was a rule to take a weapon away from somebody assaulting a LEO regardless of license, and i'm sorry that didn't cross my mind. So i will admit some fault there.

As far as the jail time is concerned, That's under the discretion of the arresting officer. I've been jailed for 60 minutes for fleeing/eluding before in a stolen tow truck, yet also been jailed before for 1 minute for a bank raid. Take that as you wish, But i've been through both extremes so i didn't see that being an issue.

1) We never said anything about her sentence on radio/anything on radio other than that you died in the shootout (start of second video). The only reason you knew anything (after you died and joined LT) was due to breaking nlr/metagaming.

2) No officer that isn’t involved in a situation just takes a suspect from another unless asked. (You didn’t even ask what she was going in for). Why would you think it was even okay to arrest your friend from the same situation you just died from? You even ran away when I was going to get the Asst. Chief (who was involved also) to talk with you!

3) I have video of the whole situation start to end that I can share which proves that the chief didn’t tell you anything on radio involving the sentence. Which proves you are just lying.

There is no need for me to go into further detail on your whole explanation because the logs and video show the true story. Your defense is not supported by the evidence or the rules.

This is true- to a reasonable extent. The punishment must still be within the realm of reason for the cause. This is not a matter of a few "years" of a sentence, you put your friend in for the absolute minimum for a fairly notable offense.
--------------------------
[5.1.7] Corruption is allowed with permission from a Senior Administrator or above. The permissions are automatically void when the authorizing staff member leaves the server.
[5.1.4] You may not abuse your job by misusing your powers or farm XP.
[2.6.1] You must abide by realistic roleplay measures. If something you are doing is illogical in a real life situation, then you can’t do it on the server.
@TwewT misused his powers as a police officer to give his friend a significantly reduced sentence than what they should have had and allowed them to keep their gun despite its use in a crime. As a result, he will receive a 3 Day Police Blacklist for Unauthorized Corruption. As for the other accusations:
NLR: I don't feel as though he was particularly breaking NLR. He was treating it as a new situation in a new life, and although he mishandled it, I don't feel its the most relevant
FailRP: In some ways Unauthorized Corruption is its own FailRP, no need to double dip
Job Abuse: Probably could and should have just quit through the Police NPC on your way out, but I don't see significant abuse of the job change.

No refund request are necessary for this situation.
