@Michael and Spooky17 (No forums account found, but if they see this they can either respond here or DM me on discord) both have 24 hours to explain their actions or this may be handled without their input.

The Asst Chief at the time (I forget who it was) asked us to close down the road because there was high crime in the area and people were driving very dangerously down the road. Cars were still able to get through the rear of mechanics to access it, as the mechanics had a sign forcing the garage door to remain open. Therefore, I do not understand how we prevented people from accessing mechanics, as they still could (and did) enter the mechanics. Once the crime in the area had died down and people stopped bombing it down the road, we removed the barriers and continued patrol. Additionally, the entire time that the road block was up we had an officer at each end manning it and directing traffic. I was even using act becon and act forward to direct car and was advising the public that they could take 121st to 72nd or take 121st to Route-84.

I would completely understand locking down the area for reasons of high crime or illegal activities; however if this is the case why was there not an emergency state issued or anyone arrest for this alleged "high crime?" In one of the photos you can see the officer running towards a fireman with a taser for trying to get his vehicle off the barriers you refused to remove for this emergency service worker. I don't mean to sound rude or accusing, but the mechanics (myself included) were forced to quit our roleplay jobs due to this inconvenience that was placed upon us. Prior to this incident the police force harassed our shop and even booted the director's work truck while it was in the air on lift. The mechanics were belittled by these office until a barrier was erected in order to stop traffic from accessing our services.

@HughGRection were you the Towing Manager at the time? If not, do you know who was?

Also if any involved party happens to know who was the assistant chief at the time that would be appreciated.

Yes, I was the Towing Manager at this time. Unfortunately, I do not know who the assistant police chief was.

Sorry for the delay. It appears that the second reported player Gary Monahan is the one who placed the clamp. He has yet to show a response in this thread. Also @HughGRection can you confirm or deny if the side door of the mechanic was forced open or not?

Garry has contacted me on discord. According to him @HughGRection your vehicle was clamped because your license was expired, and he backs up the claim that the other door was held open.

Yes the other was held open with a text screen of mine; however, there was a cop car parked in front of it blocking the exit door.

Do you have any evidence of this?

I was the police assistant chief at the time and if I remember correctly I was too busy at the time being to continue dealing with the roadblock so I told them to setup the block and I hoped that traffic would be fine and flow through mechanic or they could go around near the little town homes by 5’o clock, in regards to no emergency state the high crime was mostly in that area so I decided not to put one also since it wouldn’t really be needed for an entire road block in my opinion but if you need an emergency state to serve as a reason than so be it. In regards to blocking the actual mechanic entrance Im not aware of, but I did see the text screen thing above the door for quite a while after. Besides this though, if the police was an issue I should’ve been notified by you as the standing assistant chief through your tablet Or meeting with me

@PiffTheSeal @Michael & Gary - I know this is a bit of a long paragraph and you may be tempted to just skip over it to the final verdict, but I do politely request you do look over it.

[45.1.4] You may not abuse your job by misusing your powers or farm XP.

I'm going to be honest; I think this was a very poorly done roadblock/checkpoint. I fail to see the value gained in completely closing off this portion of the road, and I am definitely not a fan of closing off the traditional entrance to the mechanics shop. With that said, its also not the worst roadblock I've ever seen. Consideration was apparently paid to try and make sure people could still access to mechanic, and it seems the roadblock was at least manned. To the police officers in the situation, in the future I would strongly recommend trying to avoid completely locking down roads and blocking normal entry ways. Additionally, as Piff said @HughGRection it would be advisable to try and contact the police chief in situations like this to see if you can handle the situation in character as well. Ultimately, at this time I don't feel a punishment is necessary for the involved officers, though I would absolutely advise them to be more considerate with their traffic control in the future and be mindful of their impacts on their fellow civilians.

If I've missed anything, or if you would like to discuss any part of this verdict, please let me know through private messages here or on discord.
