Nvidia Shadow Play if you just want quick clips, like 10 minutes or so in the past. I believe it's called Geforce Experience now. Otherwise, use OBS as other's have mentioned. It's free and quite good, just make sure to watch a YouTube video or something to configure everything properly.
If you need a free editing software checkout Davinci Resolve, it's quite good and I use it for a lot of school things.
