I was driving near the beach and was by a player for hitting his car on the road when we were both driving, unintentional. He pulled a gun but I was still in my car and a reasonable distance away so I took off driving, he shot at me and missed, and then I looped back around after I saw his back was turned and ran over him with my car, accidentally hitting another cop. I then left the scene in my vehicle but was stopped by an admin and was taken to a sit.
I complied completely and wasn't argumentative at all, but I don't really feel like this situation warrants a month long ban, especially when I was complient in the sit and didn't blatantly break FearRP or car death match with the intent of harming other peoples roleplay. I went and ran somebody over who pulled a gun on me because I feared for my life, and accidentally hit another cop in the process, which I was driving away to get an EMT for because I've been playing the server seriously ever since I was last unbanned.
I understand that the server takes infractions seriously, but I'm an active member of this community who enjoys the server, and it wasn't at all with malicious intentions when I ran him over, it was a fair reaction to what he did to me, which was pulling a gun and shooting at my car when I took off. I was banned mid-sit and was being totally compliant and respectful to the staff and players, and even acknowledged what I did and didn't try to lie my way out of it, but was banned for a month.
I just don't really see how I was at fault enough to be banned for a month. I understand I've had issues in the past with car-related incidents and have a previous 1 day ban for intentional car death match, but this wasn't at all intentional and the cop basically ran into my car. I wasn't given time to RP my actions involving the police officer I hit, which I don't think is fair to me even though I understand why I was instantly brought into a sit.
Additional members involved/witnessing: I don't know their forum names or remember their in-game names.
I just wanna say as a side note, if anything this was an honest mistake. I wasn't doing this with malicious intent at all and have been helping others on the server, recruiting new players to my organization, and being an overall contributive player on the server. This wasn't something I intended to do or went into trying to break rules or knowingly breaking rules, I just accidentally hit a cop that wasn't involved in the situation and was taken to a sit before I had any time to RP what I was going to do to help the cop.
