Reason for Report: RDM or Copbaiting - I knocked on the door of a house in sater bay since I saw a jeep smoking in the driveway, asked if everything was alright. The guy who opened the door and came out asked that I stand out front so I did. He can't seem to hear me so then he walks away into his front yard. I say hm ok and then I walk away. He then follows me and then starts shooting me for no reason which spirals into a gunfight.
*Not sure if this goes in staff report or player report since it involves a potential rulebreak from a staff member.

I believe you cut out the part where you saw people with guns inside the house. You started to act suspicious and ran away from me so you can secure your body cam footage. It is completely obvious that you were going to raid us/snitch on us if I did not shoot you, which was probably why you ran from me when I was trying to start a conversation and deal with you in other means.

Basically I killed you because it was a dire situation that warranted me to use lethal action as you were going to get away from me and end up raiding our home. Arguably I could have killed you for snitching since as a police officer your duty is to report a crime you witness.

1.No, that’s the footage straight from the harddrive. I press the record hotkey most the time when I confront someone ingame.

2. I started leaving because you ran away from me first and I had no reason to chase after you.

I also didn’t see any guns on you when you opened the door so I was unsure why you’d start shooting at me. As for guns in the building, I saw none. In the video you can audibly hear me just leaving, asking someone for a ride since I didn’t have my car and trying to resume my business when you follow me and try to kill me.

From 2.2.8 " You may not kill a Law Enforcement Officer unless you have a valid roleplay reason to do so. These could include, but is not limited to, visibly carrying illegal weapons or visibly performing an illegal activity. These reasons depend on the context. If police are attempting to initiate an arrest on you while you are carrying hidden illegal items in your inventory, that is a valid reason to kill them. "

You had no illegal weapons nor were you committing an illegal activity until you started randomly shooting me. I also was not arresting you or your friends since you all had done nothing illegal from what I saw and I was just simply leaving.

From 2.2.12 "Law Enforcement may only be harmed if they are a direct threat to you. " - I didn't even pull out my gun until you equipped your gun and pointed it at me while my BACK WAS TURNED to you

You can also see in the video I make no such call for backup, for a raid, for guns seen, etc so there's no reason you could just say I was "going to snitch/raid" you guys

I hope staff are held to the same standard of evidence that players are required to have when it comes to reports against them. I can link multiple player reports which have been accepted when one side has video evidence and all the other side has is their word.

In the video, it is clear that you saw my org member's weapon, which conveniently did not show up in your video. Afterward, I told you to wait on the front porch so I can tell my org members that you now have this information. I then started walking towards you and you starting running away while looking back? That is the part that really confuses me about your story. I do not understand why you were running away from me after I told you to stay there if you didn't just see someone with a gun on my property and then proceed to attempt to call on your radio.

I will not be responding to this report any longer, but I do believe the video link I have posted shows that I had every reason to open fire on you.

EDIT: You are all good with the video not showing that part. Just thought it was a bit coincidental that it wasn't included. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

Well from your perspective it makes sense now why you opened fire on me, that video explains what I wasn't aware of ingame. I won't be responding anymore since this report looks over. Here's a screenshot showing that my video wasn't cut conveniently just in case any higher ups were interested.

As @Maj.Kat video shows, he opened the door and there was a person moving around the house with an assault rifle on their back on that moment, before the door was closed and locked again. Since Maj.Kat believed you saw his friend with an illegal weapon and since you started running away, the way you did, I can see how he thought you were going to report him and bring more units to the area, in order to perform a police raid on the property. I believe you also understand this, given your statement:

With that in mind, he decided to eliminate you, in order to prevent such a thing from happening.
