Reason for Report: I was a hostage as mayor and Stewart was spectating, the officer outside negotiating shot the guy which is FTVL and they killed me, stewart watched and said it was a valid kill but it wasn't, the situation should have been voided due to the FTVL. He mishandled the situation and the guy should not have gotten off the hook.

Hello,

I do understand your frustration at being shot and losing your position as mayor.

In the first instance, you were shot as the cops were “taking too long.” I revived you and voided the situation, with the player receiving a verbal. Rp continued from here.

Upon arrival, the cops did indeed shoot one to two shots, although I cannot confirm whether or not this was a misfire, or if they were aiming at the door, as I was watching you on the balcony.

The individual on the balcony then opted to shoot you, assuming the negotiations had broken down. This was valid as a reason to kill you on his part.

The officers then entered through the unlocked door, shot the armed individual, having been told that you were dead by his friend. One officer then shot an unarmed man and received a one day weapons blacklist.

As I said to you, unless the hostage takers deemed the cops to have failed to value your life and made a report, then they had good reason to kill you, and the cops were punished for a seperate misdeed. Unfortunately you could not have confirmed the nature of the shots outside the apartment by the cops.

I also offered to revive you to the cops and hostage takers, but received no positive response.

Thus, as your death was valid, and the cop involved was punished, it did not seem appropriate to revive you just so you could keep your job. This would have required a whole situation reset which would not have been viable.
Further to this, your multiple PMs, reports and one indirect complaint through /ad did not encourage me to revive you, although I did try my best to respond to these and explain.

It should also be pointed out that shortly later, you regained your job as mayor through a public election.
