Stuck On Initializing

Help I cannot join as it gets stuck on Initializing for 10-15 minutes I've tried rebooting gmod/steam/computer I've tried deleting all my addons and reinstalling and I've tried verifying and nothing works

ummmm clear server cache for monolith then retry

1) Right Click on the Garry's Mod and click "Properties"

2) Click on Local Files and open "Browse Local Files"

3) Click on 'garrysmod'


4) Open up the "Addons folder"


5) Delete all the addons in the Addon folder.

6) Once deleted Verify your game Cache

7) Open your game and let all the addons download. Hopefully this fixes your issues, It did for a few others on some other forums.

Your going to have to delete Garry's mod and re-install it. (had this happen to me before)

Both can work. Saying my method doesn't work without evidence really proves nothing. Then again, our methods are always different for other computers

i didnt mean to say your method doesnt work i was saying that my method has the same effect and is quicker

Unsure if the issue is fixed, but this could help people in the future who might have this issue;

Chromium Branch Fix:
This fix usually helps players a lot, this especially works for those who crash when they connect and 40+ players are playing. In your Steam library, right click on Garry's Mod, and click on Properties. From there, click on the "Betas" tab, and in there click on the drop-down. From there, you should see an option in all lower-case called "chromium". Click on this. Afterwards, once this option is selected, you can close this window with the Close button at the bottom right and Garry's Mod should commence an update. Once updated, you can join Monolith and it should hopefully work. This fix helped me, and I believe some others as well with this issue.
