Stuck on loading lua

like it loads and then it says starting lua then just crashes any way i can fix this and then i watched a vid on how to fix it but i can only play on the beta vertion and i cant download css textures on that

Verify game cache through Steam.
- Reinstall Garry’s Mod completely.
- Wait it out without “tabbing out.”
-Type retry in console after you’ve been initializing for 5+ minutes.
-Unsubscribe from all workshop addons, subscribe to our content pack, delete all addons in the “addons” folder through Garry’s Mod and rejoin.
Hopefully some of these solutions work for you.

i followed those steps and it still is just crashes when itr says starting lua also it lets me join any server other than mono

After a check through "performance questions" thread, I've found monolith is incredibly difficult to run. Gaming pcs get a loading time of 2-3 mins, unlike the same issue I have as you. If you don't already, try upgrading to a gaming pc if you can. I hear a reinstall of Gmod helped one person but not others. For me, moving the mouse occasionally can help it marginally.
