Your Steam Name: angry italian man
Your Steam ID: STEAM_0:1:146761609
Your Character Name (If Applicable): Paulie Pellegrino
Ban Length: 1 week
Admin who banned you: Whiteblood
Ban Reason: Racism
Time of Occurrence: Around 3:45 (CST) on 6/22/17
Relevant Evidence: I was walking around with a couple of my friends, Candi Pellegrino, and James Hichcock when a man we met earlier, Alex Johnson came past us while my friends and I were talking about how we witnessed "Bat Man" (James Hawke) get arrested for robbing the bank. I then proceeded to jest with him and ask him if he was being "Niggerphobic" to me (Also I would just like to point out that the word in question was brought to my attention today by a man role playing with the name Kayne West and using it in such a manor as for it to be humorous and ironic), and while I thought the display of such word to be quite humorous apparently he did found offence to such a word, but considering the fact that I wasn't using it to berate him nor intentionally trying to agitate him to the point of him hating me. I was quite baffled by the fact that he deemed my little form of playful jesting liable to him having an admin ban me. I would also like to mention how the admin in question didn't even let me protest to such a little and insignificant thing. Maybe if I was following the plaintiff around and berating him with racial slurs then I could possibly see a cause for said ban, but in my eyes I don't see my ban as the proper solution to the problem because if he actually had a problem with me saying what I said then he could have simply said for me to leave him alone, don't talk to me, or a myriad of other phrases, but none of that was said or done. He simply asked for me to be banned because he didn't like what I said to him, and I know it's pretty cliche for me to say this, but if he honestly didn't like me at all from the get go. Then he should have avoided talking to me like the plague. Why would he go through the trouble to be around someone of which he didn't like? And instead of getting an admin to take time out of his busy schedule to oversee this rather insignificant problem, why couldn't he just handle it himself first and then seek the admin if needed? Now I just want to tie off this appeal with the few witnesses that where there to witness me talking to Alex Johnson on hand, and to also close of with the fact that I don't personally even hate him, nor do I even care about the skin color of his character. I was just making the joke to make the joke. Anyways I appreciate anyone who takes the time to read this whole thing because maybe you could learn to jump the gun on someone if they say something of which you personally find distasteful or hateful because something you may find offensive doesn't necessarily mean that it's wrong. Because not only is someone's sense of morality/humor completely subjective, it depends on who and what they grew up around, and for better or worse that "sense" shouldn't judge the person's ability to do the right thing in the end.
