Time of Occurrence: 19/11/17 about half 5

Relevant Evidence: Basically I was driving outside my house and I accidentally ran over a cop who was pulled over in the ditch (I think he had someone pulled over and was speaking to them) and then about 5 minutes later I did have to leave as I was going out to eat, but it wasn't to avoid punishment as I didn't think I did anything specifically wrong that would get me banned as I have been run over many times randomly and I just put it down to that persons driving skills or theyre in a situation. I actually couldn't really see the cop till it was too late as the car I drive is tricky to control in a short space of time. I apologize that this incident has occurred and I realize maybe I should stick to the proper path rather than try and take a short cut over the grass as this can easily happen again. I hope you realize that I did not intend for this to happen as I really do enjoy the server and have put a lot of time into it.

Additional members involved/witnessing: Thomas Wess (ingame name) He can vouch for me as he was in the car at the time and he knows I didn't purposely mean to do what happened.

I remember this, from what I found in the logs you had disconnected almost immediately after running over the cop (within 2-3 minutes). This gave it the appearance that you were attempting to leave in order to avoid consequences for ramming the officer. IIRC, the logs didn't show you calling for 911 and EMS either as a way of RPing the situation, although I admit I can't get on the server to double check right now.

As far as I can tell, you haven't been banned in the past for LTARP or for VDM, so I'd be fine with having the ban reduced.

It was simply one of those things you don't mean to do, I was just driving to the supermarket to sell my crops and leave and that happened, I wasn't really sure what to do in the situation so yes I did drive off. If anything like this ever happens again I can assure you I will take the correct procedure, I would like to be unbanned as I like to think of myself as an active player in the community and would like to keep it that way.

Good advice: If you run someone over on accident, stop and call 911 before you continue. That way people won't assume it's VDM. But if you hit someone and just keep going, it looks like VDM.

Yeah I will definitely carry that knowledge when I am allowed on the server again, as I said now I fully understand what I did wrong after reflecting on what I did I can assure you that it was just a freak accident and wont happen again

I can honestly say I've learned a lot from this mistake and I will not let it happen on my behalf again, but obviously, the choice is yours @Wynonna Earp

I'll go ahead and lower the ban to two days, since you've been apologetic and respectful. Just be mindful of these sorts of things in the future. Since you already served one day, the ban will expire tomorrow around 1:00 PM CST.
