Your Steam Name: pj5
Your SteamID: STEAM_0:1:59628126
Your Character Name: Tony Accardi
Which Staff blacklisted you: Braidan
What were you blacklisted from: Weapons
Blacklist Length: 7 Days
Blacklist Reason: RDM
Unblacklist Reason: I feel like the situation was misunderstood completely, and unfortunately; I didn't have a recording myself. However, from my perspective: I heard the guy moving around prior to me entering the warehouse, showing signs of non-compliance in an RP situation. And some additional context to this, I was also tailed nearby the house, by a car a couple seconds before I was about to enter the raiding zone (That same guy was lingering around whilst the raid was about to finish). So, it seemed like I was about to open up and it was going to end in a shootout-- I also would like to add, I had a friend with me in the raid, and he was looking out for the car after lockpicking. So, effectively; the homeowner was moving around and was in no way trying to communicate himself surrendering. I was kind of using my own instict, because usually when I know I can't fight back, I tell the the raiders I'm passive and I put my hands up.
So, from my perspective, I was about to enter someone's house, who was ready to fight back.
Nevertheless, I do admit the biggest mistake I made was not asking him to put his hands up; but the guy appeared to be trying to hide, and I couldn't risk it in the split-seconds I had to react towards him, especially when the person inside is not communicating and is actively moving whilst he knows we're about to raid. I also would like to mention, the first thing I saw was his Machete that was sticking out:
However, I would also like to state that the Staff member did say if I had mentioned the fact that he had a machete, the situation would have been perfectly understandable-- And I would have not gotten into any trouble. I feel that was a bit unfair as I wasn't going to explain the whole situation and I was told to give a quick recap. In my recap, I told the Staff member that I killed him because he was hiding from me, and was not trying to communicate any form of compliance (It was just a quick answer without context, as I knew this guy was going to provide footage-- Because that was the purpose of the sit).
Then, the Staff member told me that because I didn't say I killed him as he had a machete equipped, I can't use that as evidence of my innocence. I understood that in the moment, but at the same time, that was literally the only thing I saw that made me react quickly towards the homeowner, in an aggressive manner.
Here is the video, it's from the perspective of the guy that called a Staff Member (The guy had to trim it slightly because of his Discord sending-allowance).
Time of Occurrence: Around 3:13 AM (GMT+1)
Additional members involved/witnessing: Zesty (Steam name); he was just lockpicking.
Read, understood and followed blacklist appeal rules?: Yes.
