What Does It Mean to You?

Hello everyone I just want to know what monolith means to you and what feelings does it give you. It could be if your depressed and need someone to speak to you just hop on and have a couple laughs and talk to people from all across the world it could also help you get away from reality if your being bullied or need any type of advice.

For me personally monolith meant freedom to do things and run things like how I like it, and whenever I felt depressed I could hop on and have some fun with the boys and maybe even get angry and release some emotions that I keep in for awhile.

To be honest I joined Monolith because my friend showed me, I was really impressed about the whole system, and how all the things were set up. But sometimes I'm really sad / mad. I've had a very harsh time during this episode in my life. It's been very rough, but I'm still floating. Monolith gets all the feelings away, and sometimes you get mad but that's okay, because at some point we gotta get the anger out. Every one needs and has some emotions. And I bet that people on Monolith also have a escape through via. games like gmod, on Monolith etc. People also find a escape in food, smoking, etc. But all I can say is that find someone really understands you. Don't let anyone bring you down, always stay floating. Also I'm here for anyone. So feel free to pm me if you ever need anything. And yes, Monolith is really a escape for me, and I really enjoy and love Monolith, because of you people. Life is harsh sometimes, but you gotta keep fighting. This is life, life is testing you. So show them that you're the real boss.

To me, there's 2 parts of monolith, 1. The Experience, 2. The Community. The experience is unique, no other games/servers offer exactly what this server give you, if you log on and walk around you're bound to find yourself in a very fun situation like a traffic stop or finding a RP store. The community here is special, despite all the complaints about some people being toxic, that's only like 5% of people on the server, the rest are just cool to be around, even if you're at war with someone approach them introduce yourself and talk about some discussion topic like what a cool new feature could be, they'll talk with you and not even acknowledge the war because they can tell you don't mean to harm them, in this community there's also a sort of unity when bad situations come, for instance when we learned Max uses cheats, the entire community formed together to all laugh at him at once for exposing his own hacks. So despite any IC relation to the person, everyone in this server is actually pretty chill with one another

I don't even know anymore. I know for a fact i'm hated by most of the players and staff but i still love meeting new people from all around the world. this is the first server I've taken seriously and spent THIS much money on since chronet. its not a lie thats its addicting, too addicting. i've spent hours on this servers just to stay up till 5am and sleep at school. its no joke that people want to grind and grind. but, whatever comes ill still be playing this server until the day i get permad.

When the ~1500 hours I have on gmod is from monolith alone. Its clear I do enjoy the server and as of recently staff probably will notice I care less & have been more 'rebellious'. Despite my recent conflicts with upper-management I still enjoy playing on the server, it may not be the RP dream in terms of realism and actual RP, but its garrysmod, this game is generally toxic and to that I often point people towards fiveM. I continue to be active on the server for the memes and will often do my best to encourage passive RP with others, but can turn into an asshole if someone is not playing along (especially as a cop). Playing on monolith although sometimes becomes aggravating, is a good release of stress, I owe it most to the dev team for there work creating an enjoyable custom gamemode.

For me, the staff team has been this group of friends who poke fun at each other like calling @PMX a Brazilian, playing games like csgo or some random darkrp server, and just other things we do when we're not focusing on staffing the server. The main reason I like and stay on monolith is because of this group of people I've come to know

Staffing the server is still important however, it's about helping our players when they need help from us like resolving an RDM case or whatever. But for me personally, I try to get to know our players. Some players become good friends, but others try to take advantage of you simply because of you being a staff member. So I enjoy monolith for the players as well, but it's not the main reason for me

Monolith has been the absolute best for me since I joined, I've met some great people in my journey with Monolith, this community has given me some of the best memories and laughter, and when I joined the Mentor team a year ago, it had gotten even better because joining the Mentor team gave me the opportunity to help new players as well as helping existing players, whether being a simple answer to a question or showing someone around in-game.

Monolith has been a big part for me, and will always be, its helped me through rough times personally, but each day brings something new, meeting some more amazing people, making more memories, and learning something new from this community.
