Your Character Name: Vig Rollins
Admin being reported: @xstewart

Reason for Report: I was the passenger in a food truck because I was hitchhiking, when the driver slammed a police car and was pulled over. He drove off really fast, and before I had a chance to safely leave (I had valuables on my person) a separate police car caught up to us and stopped us. They got out and pointed guns at the van and told him to stop, but he floored it into one of the cops and their parked car. They started shooting the car, which is understandable, and caused it to explode, which killed the driver immediately. I was still alive in the passenger seat with 15% health, then they immediately started firing on the van again and killed me. I would like to point out that I was shouting out to the police that I was an innocent and didn't want to be involved in the situation the entire time. They searched my corpse after killing me for literally no reason and found a Mosin, which they confiscated and arrested me for. Seeing as how I had committed no crimes and was just an innocent passenger, I feel like any legitimate court in the world would have thrown out the evidence they illegally searched me for. I made an in-game report but the staff member who responded ended the sit before I had a chance to fully discuss things and dismissed my complaints, despite my best efforts to remain patient and professional. I would like another staff member to review the circumstances. I literally just want my Mosin back
Time of Occurrence: Noon 4/26/20
Evidence to support your claim: He admitted to all of the above, but believes it was justified because the driver was code red. I explained that the vehicle was disabled for several seconds before they noticed I was still inside and finished me off, but the sit was a bit of a circus show with people talking over one another
Additional members involved/witnessing: @Mr. Alex
Read, understood and followed staff report rules?: Yes

We pulled over a food truck as it had a back tyre out, which usually only happens when shot, following a report of shots fired. We wished to have a conversation but needed to secure the situation first. We moved hard and fast, asking you and the driver the leave the vehicle at gunpoint. Choosing to ignore fearrp, you both failed to step out, and the driver chose to drive into one of our officers, rendering the vehicle code red. There was now a body at the scene of a crime, as you flew out of the vehicle, which we searched lest a civilian take the evidence, and you yourself faced charges of failure to comply with a lawful order. It was under these two premises we assumed reasonable cause to search your person. Further to this, it is standard for someone recieveing medical attention to be checked for any sharp objects which might make their treatment dangerous. Mr.Alex reviewed footage and can confirm a continuous stream of fire was released a single time, and that the code red was accurate. Unfortunately this evidence has been removed due to the presence of staff chat which might have been viewed and distributed, the protection of which you complained about for the duration of the sit.

I didn't ignore FearRP, in fact I would say FearRP includes not stepping out of a moving vehicle to get run over when you're held against your will as a passenger in a high speed chase. At the point you told us to get out of the vehicle he was already speeding off, and car bugs kill me all the time so I'm not about to jump out and get clipped by the van.

Searching me "so a civilian didn't take the evidence" only really makes sense and works if you didn't immediately arrest me and confiscate my stuff. Sounds like some "thought up after the fact" mental gymnastics tbh

And I'm sorry is there an issue with me complaining that you can submit evidence that isn't able to be viewed by the accusing party? That's not how any delegation process works anywhere. Plus you sent the link in chat and had not identified yourself as staff, then you got mad at me for opening the link? I'm sorry I don't the ability to magically know that you're a staff member, not only that but I wasn't aware that there could even be such a concern .For a staff member you really didn't conduct yourself professionally, whatsoever, you just got belligerent with me for accusing you of breaking the rules, which I still believe you did.

Hello, I handled the sit in game saying it wasn't false code red. The driver of the van ran into a police officer and then the police opened fire to neutralize the threat. After it had blown up the cops didn't notice that it exploded and fired only 2 - 3 aditionall shots. After you got ejected from the car from the explosion, the police had detained you and searched you, and found an illegal firearm. And they arrested you for that reason. It just seems like a wrong place wrong time type of situation.

I both followed police and role play procedure while dealing with the situation at hand. Mr.Alex will confirm that the video shows I reach the drivers side window, and Nathan reaches the other window, while the vehicle was stationary.

And yes - it is better a police officer finds an ak than a civilian who can run off with it, so it does make sense to search you, or rather, your dead body. Further, the video submitted to Mr Alex shows the police communications made demonstrating this was not mental gymnastics.

I apologise that you did not hear me state that you ought not to view the video, but this clearly was mentioned as Nathan Bridgette heard this loud and clear and did not view the video, and when you asked what the problem was, HE was the one to explain it. It should have gone into admin chat in the first place, but caps lock prevented the command from being run properly.

I am in no way belligerent with you accusing me of breaking the rules. It is critical that players feel they can report anyone and everyone for a reported rule break. However, your attitude was not one of understanding or communication during the sit. As such, it becomes hard for me to engage with you on those terms.

I'll now leave this up to the decision of those responsible for viewing these reports. Thank you Alex for your response and your time.

But you didn't find an AK, you found a bolt action rifle. I had a gun license too which is why my P99 wasn't taken. So if I can legally have an AR15 in my inventory but not equipped as long as I have a gun license how is a bolt action wood long stock rifle illegal?? That's like the most non threatening and legal gun you can own besides a break barrel single shot shotgun... also, I just feel like the innocent bystander who was shot up and revived on scene should have been given at the very least an opportunity to speak before being hauled off and arrested with no further discussion.

This is a video game, not real life. Many guns that are considered illegal in monolith can be legal in real life. Even if it's a rp game, doesn't mean everything is going to be realistic. After they had seen you with an illegal firearm they arrested you for it.

Hello @Vig Rollins,

After review, I have understood that you were in a vehicle that was code red. The code red called on that vehicle was 100% just. After you flew out of the car, you were searched due to you being involved in an active crime scene and laying on the floor unconscious. The search they conducted on you was completely legal. After they found a Mosin Nagant on you they rightfully took you to jail because that weapon is illegal per Monolith's city rules. - "All firearms, except semi-automatic handguns and AR-15's are classified illegal" You had an illegal firearm when you were searched legally, therefore you went to jail. There was no abuse of power or rule-break here from @StewartJames

Staff reported denied.
