    A little slip as my thread got locked, but it's back now!

    New rule tweaked - it's not as bad as before, Police now get three NLRs to house raids only.

    The issue with the latest rule continues to heat up. A second thread detailing player numbers is locked, my profile post deleted, and my forum descriptor changed.
    I remain adamant to keep this professional and serious.

    I miss playing on the server, of course I do, but I feel this is the best way to proceed.

    I think one thing to learn from the new rule change chaos; is to stay quiet and let it take effect and allow time for staff AND players to examine how it impacts the server, a week at least... Better this than start a riot in the forums a day after implementation, I personally respect you for stepping up to "represent the population" but obviously from the backlash your recent posts have gotten, probs best to hold on

    To frame a discussion as a riot is to deliberately miss-characterise it as an act of sabotage or delinquency. it is neither.
    What good is criticism if it must wait to see it's own predictions play out before it has a chance to acknowledge them?
    And such, what good is a system that thinks itself infallible, that critique hold no value but to be treated with such contempt as to cast off all pretences of polite conduct?

    Though I would even argue that a lack of staff is not a compelling argument as the server already spends the majority of it's time with one staff on duty, with others available. If the full argument is to be believed, that the dev team don't trust the server to be supported on roughly one staff member, that would imply they don't think the current server should be ran either.

    But I try not to get too annoyed about things like this. I understand making these suggestions I don't have the power to influence beyond the thread and certainly I don't do the heavy lifting. I can only draw from my experience of the server and other similar online projects to this. Monolith has always been a head above others, but it's not immune to the same hubris.

    I see you point, I do, I just don’t believe it will work which is why I disagree. I base this of what I know that is going on behind the scenes as well as on the server. But we probably won’t agree on this discussion.

    It seems to me only logical that warning points should not be issued if a rule has not been broken.

    Many servers have this map. I thought this was a map made and used Only by the people of monolith.

    We have a few tweaks on this version of Rockford, proper lightmaps, converted the cinema into a casino, and a few little things here and there.

    I thought I didn't like the Detective update. But then I realised it's as much a hassle for the Police as it is Criminals.

    Really appreciate new features. Car doors give me a headache, but hopefully that'll all be ironed out in time. Or removed.
