When the server crashes the red connection message will show in the top right corner, as with any Garry's Mod server. Sometimes that Monolith server offline screen can appear at different times, not when the server actually goes offline. I'll refund you this time as I know the server did crash...

Unfortunately vehicle purchases can't be refunded, and as far as I know VCMod issues are normally client side and are fixed by restarting your game and/or rejoining the server a few times. Denied.
