Gets boring sometimes because of the cop mains who literally just go onto the serve to put people in jail for an hour, shit needs to get fixed.
I mean there are various factors that play into this such as offense, staff member, frequency of specific offense in history. Like for example if someone prop kills and has like 4 punishments for prop killing in their history, im gonna punish them somewhat harshly even if their last punishment was an RDM 3 week ago. There's a lot of factors to consider.Players with a long bad note history should be shown a bit more mercy if they go weeks/months when they mess up and break a rule. its really sad when i get banned for the slightest rule break cause i have a history of bad notes. yes i understand its to teach players a lesson but when you see a player with a bad past trying to improve then i think they deserve a bit of leeway

I agree but I think the idea of when you play for a long time your rule breaks pile up is a bit flawed. It usually comes down to the playstyle. A Firefighter main that's been playing since true north with like 2 warning points for some VDM vs a Top fragger that's been playing since true north having to a lot of judgment calls, some of which can be wrong. And with everything the staff team tries to strike a balance with this, being too harsh will kill our long-term player base while being too lenient will lead to abuse of the system. I personally don't really care about people's records as much as people make mistakes, but they do need to learn from them.Players with a long bad note history should be shown a bit more mercy if they go weeks/months when they mess up and break a rule. its really sad when i get banned for the slightest rule break cause i have a history of bad notes. yes i understand its to teach players a lesson but when you see a player with a bad past trying to improve then i think they deserve a bit of leeway
this is perfectly well putTo put it very simply. Server has so much god damn potential with the great content and features it has, but unwhitelisted roleplay and the infestation of cheaters which management clearly has never had any intent to tackle properly, (IMO) leaves much more to be desired and drives a lot of players away. I know these are things that aren't easy to just change, but its just the reality of mono's situation. I can ramble on about many, MANY other things but ill keep it at that.
Exactly, every week it feels like there is a new person on an alt cheating. How it goes is the alt joins a big org with people that he or she knows, the org gives the alt primaries, money, etc. Then he or she raids everyone with their cheats to piss players and staff off. This makes people frustrated and over time they quit the server. He or she eventually gets banned depending on the evidence against which most of the time takes months. This won't change unless people who are caught playing with a(n) alt(s) get permanently banned for it, or they whitelist the server or staff actually spectate suspicious players more often and get evidence on them cheating. To put it very simply. I have always been a strong believer that Cops vs robbers isn't how the server should be like. Criminal vs Criminal will always be more interested, with cops being a wild-card that can throw a spanner into a gang's plans, changing the outcome of a war. It be much better than the current Shoot cops shoot criminals to get money. A way to encourage basing will naturally encourage the recruitment and creation of organizations, which in turn will increase the number of raids, and the number of feuds between players. Which is what the powerplant update does the opposite of.I feel as though there is no end game, which should be obvious in a roleplaying game but there are very little things you can do with your money which (in my opinion) causes players to become bored once they have reached the highest level in certain skills or have bought the cars that are currently in meta. You unlock cocaine so early on in the chemistry level that for the rest of the 40 levels there is nothing else you can look forward too. Once you have a skyline, Huracán, modded evo, or fNf it feels you don't need any other car in the game as these are by far the best cars. The cars that cost millions of dollars aren't worth working towards because cars that cost far less are way better. Raiding is fun of course but (from what I remember) after the power plant update, basing has seen a great decrease. I know the server wants to almost eliminate Frag RP, and in a sense I agree. Although, having gun fights is what kept players playing.
I feel as though I work towards a great value in money to only throw into the casino to hope I get more money and if I don't I just grab my org mates and all grind coke till I can repeat. I am absolutely NOT saying this a problem with the server, this is a personal problem and I wonder if anyone is in the same boat as me. I don't think the server is stale, although all my old friends have moved on and the recent spikes of cheaters have been ruining my experience. I've known a couple of people who have been wrongfully banned for cheating, yet the real cheaters run around for what seems like months until they finally catch them. I will admit though, I've noticed that they have been catching cheaters earlier on in their time on the server which is a great step in the direction the server should be working towards. I agree with Tyro, the server has an amazing potential, I just hope they balance the vehicles(according to value maybe), maybe see a couple new weapons to craft/buy from dealers, and (just an idea) maybe we can see an implement where orgs can buy certain things (of great value) for their orgs to rise them to the top. I feel as though this can create an element of competition between organizations again and will feel like people will work together as a whole with their orgs.
This is another great point that I forgot to mention in my post and I 100 percent agree with you. The police have so much power it’s ridiculous. 99% of the time you are having fun fights with cops, and when you look at bank raids no one is doing them for the money (because you get absolutely nothing out of it comparing to what the prep costs). Bank raids have become more frequent because players want gun fights, so a decrease in basing lead to a decrease in gun fights which lead to an increase in the cops vs criminal aspect. I understand that the directors of the server would like to see more “rp” rather than “frag rp”, but there has to be an in between. I felt a good in between was right before the power plant update. Basing was very frequent, big organizations running around the city (BMF, M SIDE, etc..) that had many players in them, and tons of gun fights, trading, illegal gun selling and such. If the server can step back in that direction while moving forward on catching cheaters and alternate accounts while balancing everything I mentioned before then I think the server would be in good shape (IMO). The player base has repeatedly wanted a more criminal vs criminal play style so I hope the directors would listen to this entire forum discussion so they can see that majority of their long term players are wanting a change for the better and for the players.I have always been a strong believer that Cops vs robbers isn't how the server should be like. I might not be the best equipped to answer this but I'll just note what I've noticed. One, the idea of a whitelist to prevent an entire subsection of the gamemode or the gamemode in of itself is clearly not how management or the developers want it to go. Two, the biggest fixable issue with cheaters/alts is the culture around them of protecting them up until they fall out of favor. A great example of this when a player gave evidence to a staff member of another player cheating, the response, in turn, was that the reporting player was a, "snitch." Or when players only reveal evidence of hacking/alting when they angry at the other player or have a good reason to. The reason is rarely for the better of the server. Overall,To put it very simply. Three, the current system we have reveals when staff is spectating is usually resulted in /ooc whos hop spectating!!!!!! A lot of the time I notice that people almost seem to friendly with Alts but it can be easily dismissed as,"they just showed potential or were really good." The only thing I could support is the response time to cheating reports and such could be better but that's the reality as the people who respond to those have lives too.Exactly, every week it feels like there is a new person on an alt cheating.
