I don't really see how, according to the video presented, there is anything wrong with how the opposing party tried to RP the situation. They broke into your home with handguns and saw a single person try to run behind cover with an assault rifle on their back. Why take the chance and get into a gunfight here? Take a look at this situation from the perspective of the other party - maybe they aren't recording, and they are worried about losing their own items during the raid. They break into your home, see somebody who is better armed than they are (though with no immediate access to the weapon, they appear to be fleeing behind cover). It appears that your friend is even able to get behind cover and pull their weapon out. If the opposing party here gave verbal commands with two weapons pointed at your friend, and he still ends up killing them and they have no evidence to present, it's likely they will lose their items as there is only a chance that a staff member would've witnessed the entire situation. This particular situation occurred quickly, and didn't go your way, but that also doesn't mean that a rule change is warranted.

As far as the polling you suggested, Jaffa, I think the map change to Paralake was illustrative of the weakness of polling an exclusive demographic. Many of our players simply aren't active enough on the forums for us to use polling for issues such as the ones you mention in a reliable way that represents the community.

Well Kn1ght im going to be honest with you. I understand the last part and that is a fair thing. But if you are playing Monolith simply record. I cant say much else for that. If you want to have a secure time just record. Its not hard and its free. I recomend plays.tv for the fastest and easiest way to do so. And i would like to get to the point of where they did actually have recording and they shot before my friend before he was even near the cover. Them using words there wouldve been the way to go, And in RP situation wouldve been the best and funnest. I still take the side that rules like these kinda mess alot with RPing for the simple reason that they dont need to. This rule just allows people to instantly shoot even doe you are not really a threat. I dont see how you would be such a threat with a gun holsterd while there is 3 people with pistols. And to be honest yes my friend did have the better gun but 1 had a mr69 which it wouldnt matter one headshot and he was dead. Also which I didnt point out in that video cause that was my friends view after i just got rdmed cause seeming he was a threat it was all right for them to just shoot me. Which is an other thing to ruin RP situations. If i wasnt allowed get rdmed there than after that i couldve found em again and got revenge but with that rules as we have now just locked that out of play.

I think the rules are perfect right now.

Yes you will be shot while being raided, but you have a gun and you intended to kill with it so why not have people on guard for raiders?

Having a gun doesnt mean an intent to kill. It means defence and that people know you are strapped so act like that towards them. Even if he had a gun doesnt mean he had an intent to kill. If he wouldve actually got initiated on he wouldve played it out in RP. He never got the chance..

Lets say you are getting raided, and you have a gun on your back. With this rule that would count as a threat meaning you can get killed instantly no matter what.
Put your hands up if you’re surrendering...
The rule says you can kill anyone not surrendering (valuing their life if they don’t have a weapon) if there is an armed individual on the property.
The rule seems pretty good to me.

Having a gun means intent to kill, no matter what way you put it. Defense, attack, doesn’t matter. He wouldn’t have gotten shot if he put his hands up. But clearly, he didn’t want to get his stuff taken, so he didn’t put his hands up and tried to defend himself and his stuff.
This is pretty similar to a real life situation, if your home is being invaded and you may have a weapon, the invaders don’t want to die, so they’ll shoot you if you’re not surrendering yourself to them. (or in some cases they’ll shoot anyways)
The points your making are contradicting each other.

Maybe he gets told to put his hands up he wouldve but no people rather shoot so they take less time which COMPLETLY ruins the point of having RP. Obviously when 3 guys lockpick your door and start off by shooting not speaking ur reactions are gonna be auto defense then... And even then if that would be great RP the fact cause they killed him shouldnt mean they can instantly shoot me aswell..

And also yh its obvious they dont want to die and thats fine. But irl if you would break into some guys house with ur m8 and he you end up seeing him in his house/apartment with lets say a pistol on his thighs your first reaction wouldnt be to shoot. It is no supposed to be... And you saying we shouldve surrenderd is pointless because we had no chance to or least my m8 didnt. After that i had my hands up but they still shot me because my FRIEND was the one with a gun. In a IRL situation that makes no sense...
