Punishment can also escalate with repeated offenses. If anything I would consider the time served so far to be for the leaving.

I'm not necessarily asking why you should forgiven for leaving, I'm asking why you should be forgiven for prop pushing and why you should be forgiven for blatantly breaking the rules before leaving.
